SUMMARY:22 Hunter Matches for 2025
DESCRIPTION:Find Your Target(s)\, Range Them And Engage Them!!\nObjective: 22lr hunter matches are a great way to learn the fundamentals of long-range shooting at an affordable price. The trajectory of a 22lr at 300 yards mimics the trajectory of a center fire at extreme ranges. The goal is to make us all better shooter and hunters. \nDivisions: Shooters will be divided into categories. There will be Men’s\, Ladie’s\, Youth\, Teams and stealth. Please specify at registration which category you will be competing in. Note\, stealth division will have their scores kept private for those just looking to have some fun. Stealth competitors will not be eligible for medals but will be eligible to win the cash draw prize. \nRules: This is a .22lr only event. No tube-fed magazines allowed. There will be 10 blind stages in the match. Each stage will have 1\, 2 or 4 targets in unknown locations at distances out to 3oo yards. If there is 1 target\, shooters will engage it from 4 different positions. If there are 2 targets\, shooters will engage them from 2 different positions. If there are 4 targets\, shooters will engage them from 1 position. A different position is defined as moving left\, right\, up or down 2 feet. Tripods will be considered an asset. Shooters will be called up to the stage and briefed on the quantity of targets at that stage. Individuals will be given 4 minutes and teams given 6 minutes to locate\, range and engage each target. 1st round impacts will count for 2 points\, 2nd round impacts will count for 1 point and a miss will be scored as zero. Total round count for the match will be 40-80. Empty chamber flags required while off the firing line. \nAwards: Medals will be awarded to 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place winners in each category. There will be a random cash draw for 1 lucky winner at the end of each match. Cash prize value will increase with shooter turnout for the events. \nRecommended equipment: A bolt action or semi-automatic .22lr with an optic that has target turrets or a BDC reticle\, Rangefinders\, binoculars\, tripod\, bipod\, shooting bags\, ballistic solving app and or DOPE cards\, and consistent ammo. Shooters are generally very open to lending out equipment including rifles if anyone needs support. If you own none of this equipment and want to participate\, just let your host know at registration and they will help you get geared up. \n  \nSchedule and registration: Please call or text Dallen Baugh at (403) 598-1628 to register.
